Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to the use of the web application "HooMap" (the "Service") operated by Wingscape Digital, an Australian sole trader business (ABN: 84 343 795 565, operated by Masayoshi Kamioki).
By accessing or using HooMap, you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
HooMap is a web-based application for visualizing and analyzing geographic and CSV data.
The service is provided on an "as is" basis and may be modified, updated, or discontinued at any time.
2. Accounts
To use certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Account and Password Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account password and any other authentication credentials associated with your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your password, including but not limited to: sharing your credentials with third parties, using weak or easily guessable passwords, reusing passwords across multiple services, or failing to log out of shared devices.
You acknowledge that the security of your account depends on your own actions, and you assume full responsibility for any consequences arising from compromised credentials.
You agree not to:
- Abuse or disrupt the service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the service
3. Data Usage
HooMap is designed to process user data locally in your browser. We do not store user-uploaded CSV files or geographic datasets on our servers.
However, limited technical information may be processed by third-party services required for operation, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Services
HooMap relies on third-party providers to operate, including but not limited to:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Supabase (authentication and backend services)
- Cloudflare (network and security services)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Sentry (error monitoring)
- Resend (email delivery)
These services may process limited user data as required to provide functionality.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Payment Processing
Paid features are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store or have access to users' credit card details.
Prices may be displayed in AUD, USD, EUR or JPY depending on the user's selection and may include applicable taxes (such as GST where applicable).
Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until the period you have already paid for expires.
To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Subscription renewals are processed automatically at the exact expiration time of the current billing period. We recommend cancelling at least 24 hours in advance to account for any processing delays.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period are not provided upon cancellation. Refund requests for exceptional circumstances may be considered at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon account deletion, your subscription will be cancelled and your account data will be permanently removed. Refunds are not guaranteed for any remaining subscription time at the point of account deletion. It is your responsibility to cancel your subscription before deleting your account if you wish to avoid charges for the current billing period.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time if necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any loss of data, downtime, or damages resulting from the use of the service.
